Catalog Search is a free developer tool for exploring products across Shopify stores using the Shopify Catalog API and Universal Commerce Protocol.

Why We Built This

We built Catalog Search after attending Shopify's RenAIssance Editions developer meetup in early 2026. Talking with the Shopify team about Universal Commerce Protocol made us realize how important it was for the merchants we work with to understand this new discovery channel—and how few tools existed to help them.

With AI agents increasingly shaping how people discover products, merchants need to see what these systems see. Catalog Search gives you a visual interface to explore real product data from the Catalog API, without writing scripts or parsing raw JSON.
