Shopify's Storefront Catalog MCP now implements UCP. We've rolled out reference docs, a live demo, and several new tools so merchants and developers can work with the new protocol before the June 15, 2026 sunset of the old tool names.

• New "Try UCP" demo at /demo/ucp: call the three UCP tools (search_catalog, lookup_catalog, get_product) live against any Shopify store with a tabbed request/response preview.
• New product comparison view: select up to three products from search results and see price, availability, options, GEO grade, and description side-by-side at /compare.
• Expanded UCP reference docs at /learn/ucp with the three-tool breakdown, JSON-RPC 2.0 request shape, buyer-context fields, match correlation, and the June 15, 2026 sunset timeline.
• GEO scoring rubric rebuilt around what UCP actually surfaces to agents: new factors for taxonomy coverage, seller policy presence, option structure, and description HTML fidelity.
• ProductModal option pills now show UCP-style availability signals (selectable, out-of-stock, or does-not-combine) based on variant data.
